I felt compelled to write this review in support of NDP and the technique of myofascial release.I have attended 5 physios in Northern Ireland over the past 15 years and NDP was/is the 5th and they have managed to resolve problems that 4 other physios were unable to provide satisfactory long term solutions to.I had tried the standard, "pummeling" approach used by most physios - and it simply doesn't work for me. Julia recommended myofascial release after she quickly realised standard physio does not provide a suitable long term solution to muscular issues that I had. Erica sorted a shoulder problem that I'd had for over 20 years in 3 sessions; resolved other inflexible back issues and more recently, knee muscle issues in 2 sessions allowing me to complete a 10k in France. I recommend NDP to friends regularly and I wouldn't do that if I wasn't confident in their abilities and professionalism. Also, best to resolve issues in the practice before bombing the internet about your issues - that would be the adult approach.
Is this really a physio clinic?I wouldnt recommend this clinic. Ive had ongoing issues and I need to have physio from time to time to keep things in check. I have plenty of experience attending physio both in the private clinic and NHS. The lady who treated me mentioned she was trying a new technique. I lay on the bed while she barely touched the skin. I left after a few sessions feeling unhelped and without any rehabilitation exercises or instructions. I didnt go back. I asked for a written report of what was done for my own health records and it was denied. After I left the clinic they phoned up and said they would provide me with a written report if I came back.A friend attended the clinic and was counselled about childhood emotional trauma. The practitioner used what she called a new technique and advised my friend that he must exercise trust while she carry on with some unusual method of therapy. It was not physio. My friend left after a few sessions, unhelped and more frustrated, still in pain and in emotional turmoil.A quick google search revealed that they seemed to be practicing a holistic form of physio that is medically unverified.
Very professional, very friendly, Very good team of physiotherapists and receptionist:) I recommend especially to athletes!
Excellent care given from everyone I've been treated by here. I've been coming to North Down Physio for a few years now (with long term health issues) - not because they don't help but because they do! I wouldn't be upright without them. Brilliant team.
I had to visit the clinic after suffering an acute injury in my back. They were able to fit me in with ten minutes notice and all in all were able to give direct mobility to the spasm in my lower back and work it all out to allow me to carry on my NHS Physio at home. I honestly feel they took about a week of recovery time off my recovery. Was affordable and the service spot on. Will totally use again (though hopefully not for a while).
