Lovely quiet cinema with great shows. I'd recommend It. Loved the film Green Book.
My favourite cinema and arts centre in Northern Ireland. Lucky to have seen many films, music acts and comedy in such a beautiful building
My visit took me back to my youth, in that it still looks like it did back then though it has changed and diversified it's purpose. It deserves to be supported in its community led initiatives and remember to purchase from it's shop as the takings support the upkeep of the building, well worth a visit for that old time cinema experience.
Went to see Aquaman. Great film. Great cinema. Love the Strand. Just a pity a group of wee girls(@12-13 years) talked, chatted,in and out to the toilet, giggled, used phones..with the torches on ...nearly the whole way through the movie. Then we're overheard complaining about the staff as they had asked them not to muck about on their way in. Why do people spend money to see a film then don't watch it and disturb it for other people who have also paid money to see a film...Love The Strand. Lovely staff, lovely place. Well worth a visit...
The oldest surviving cinema in Belfast? I think! Very old, rustic & unique. Great for watching golden oldies in a cinema they would originally have been screened in.
